Reebok Focuses on Women's Fitness in the Middle East

More News...

The Reebok company has announced some very specific plans in terms of its presence in the Middle East region.

Reebok, a well-known athletic wear company, has been associated with women's fitness in particular for awhile. In 1982, Reebok introduced the first athletic shoe designed specifically for the needs of females. This shoe was known as the "Reebok Freestyle", and it was very popular in the mid-to-late eighties. Reebok has grown considerably since this product was designed.

In the past few days, Reebok has introduced the a new fitness regime called "Jukari-Fit to Fly", and a new spokesperson, Zena Habi.

"Jukari-Fit to Fly" is an innovative workout that is targeted to women specifically. It is one of the first workouts to come out of the company's partner ship with the world-famous entertainment company known as Cirque du Soleil. This workout is aiming to introduce new ways to get exercise at a gym, in a manner that is accessible to all women, regardless of fitness level or experience. "Jukari-Fit to Fly" is a 60 minute workout that takes place with the use of a piece of equipment known as a "Flyset", which hangs from the gym ceiling. Approximately twelve women at a time can hang on to Flysets while an instructor takes them through a variety of moves designed to incorporate cardio, balance, flexibility, core, and total body strength training. The Fit to Fly workout was designed as a way to combat the perception that exercise is a boring chore that goes right along with laundry and doing the dishes.

Zena Habi, a trainer from the Middle East, is very experienced in the fitness world. She is the founder of Fitness 02, which provides a variety of fitness opportunities in Dubai. It is particularly praised for its boot camps, which are actually designed by ex-military personnel. She is well-known for presenting on Jordan's version of The Biggest Loser.
